Prayer in the morning

I praise You Lord this morning
For the freshness of a new day,
For the songs that herald the dawn,
For the life giving rays of light from the rising sun,
For the renewal that comes from rest,
I put my trust, O Lord, in your unfailing love and kindness,
Show me the path You would have me walk today
so that I may walk it with You
and that my life may be a blessing to others.
Fill me with the joy of living for You
that I may give you the glory, the praise and the honour, Amen.
